Happy September and Happy Fall!

Wow! What a year so far! So many changes and so much uncertainty. If in 2019, you had told me a global pandemic would touch my family, I would have thought you were crazy! Yet here we all are navigating through it together one day at a time. For me, one candle at a time. Sometimes, life is much easier to take pour by pour.
I’m so thankful for the “automatic” aspects of life. While I was sick with Covid (that’s right, I had Covid, to which I’m still in disbelief), I automatically knew the friends I could count on. Many stepped up and a few didn’t (which I totally get). My husband, God love him, REALLY stepped up. My elderly parents (whom I’ve been trying to protect through all this), offered to drive over and leave food on my porch. The daily “just checking in” texts. The generosity and love of people intertwined with my life makes me cry happy thankful tears. It’s really all that matters.
Maybe that’s what 2020 is trying to teach us. What matters and what doesn’t. Who’s going to be there and who isn’t. Where we want to give our attention and energy and where we don’t. I know lying in bed waiting to see if the virus would get worse or if it would get better (it’s such a scary feeling), really clarified everything for me. I don’t think I’ll ever be the same (mentally that is, physically I’m much better, thank Goodness). And you know what? I’m happy I won’t be the same. If you know me, you know I look for the lesson in everything. I’m convinced that’s what 2020 is trying to teach us, to look for the lesson, I promise it’s in there! And everyone’s lesson is different, which is pretty cool too.
Well there I go getting completely off track. I’m not writing this email to preach to you, after all these little blogs are supposed to be about candles, not Covid......so here goes:
Our Everlasting Candle Club is another automatic (see what I did there) little box of love delivered to your doorstep. We just had a few more members join over the weekend, welcome to the club! Literally!
